Exhibition | If you're planning to visit London before January 25th

then you absolutely must not miss this Van Gogh exhibition at the National Gallery, because... This year marks the 200th anniversary of the NG, and they've put in a lot of effort to borrow Van Gogh's works from various places, curating this exhibition with great vigor. 🏛️There are free booklets on site, with explanations for each piece, so you can really follow the order and view each one; if you feel that's not enough, you can of course borrow an audio guide to listen to at your leisure. As a result, the audience moves quite slowly through the exhibition. I watched it from beginning to end twice, once on my own and once following the guide. It took me over three hours in total. Feeling the atmosphere, there were people from elderly individuals with white hair, supported by their children, to student groups organized by schools. There was an old man who, with a collapsible chair in hand, would sit in front of his favorite works for a long time. 🎨Seeing so many of Van Gogh's works at once, my emotions were stirred and it was hard to calm down for a long time, making everything else I saw afterwards seem bland in comparison. I had to leave the exhibition to have dinner and calm my emotions. I'll have to come back another time to see the other treasures of the NG. 💌Tip If you plan to come, please buy your tickets online in advance, as it's almost impossible to get them on the spot. With a ticket, you can enter the museum faster without having to line up at the general entrance. When I was checking on the official website, it was always sold out until close to my travel date when NG released more tickets. #NationalGallery #London #LondonLife #VanGogh
