🎨 Exhibition Diary | A Hidden Chinese Garden in Los Angeles 🎨
When most people think of Los Angeles, Hollywood, beaches, or Disneyland come to mind first. But those in the know always rank the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Garden high on their must-visit list! 📚🌿 Not only does it house countless books and fascinating exhibitions, but it’s also home to a world-class Chinese garden—the stunning “Liu Fang Yuan” (Garden of Flowing Fragrance). 🇨🇳✨ This garden began development in the early 2000s, with its first phase opening to the public in 2008. Inspired by the classical gardens of Suzhou, it was brought to life through a beautiful collaboration between American and Chinese artisans and experts. 🏮👷♂️ Many of the wooden carvings, stone sculptures, lattice windows, and roof tiles were handmade by Chinese craftsmen and shipped to California for assembly. Every detail—from the pavilions and bridges to the intricate window designs—reflects exquisite traditional artistry. Over the years, the garden continued to expand, reaching its final form in 2020. Today, it spans over 15 acres, making it one of the largest classical-style Chinese gardens outside of China! 🌉🌺 Walking along its covered corridors and stone paths, you’ll discover beauty in every detail: naturally arranged rocks, delicately carved beams reminiscent of Suzhou, and the reflections of California’s blue skies shimmering on the lake’s surface. 🏞️💙 It truly feels like stepping into a living painting—a serene escape that makes you forget you’re even in LA! 📍 Visit Tips: • It’s best to reserve tickets in advance online, especially on weekends! 🎟️📱 • The grounds are huge—allow at least half a day to explore leisurely. ⏳🚶♀️ • Top photo spots: the lakeside pavilion reflections, engraved windows along the corridors, and the peaceful bamboo pathways. 📸🎋 • It can get sunny in the summer, so bring a hat or an umbrella! ☀️👒 #Art #DailyMasterpiece #USA #Exhibition #LosAngeles #ArtMasters #HiddenGems #OrientalAesthetics #LetsGoToAnExhibit #ComeSeeWithMe #ChineseGarden #BotanicalBeauty #CulturalEscape #SuzhouStyle #GardenLovers #TravelDeep #ArtAndNature #ExploreLA
