Experiencing the Dolce Vita of Brest, France 🇫🇷✨

During the Paris Olympics, I came to France for work. Still jet-lagged, I was immediately sent on a business trip to Brest, a charming coastal city in western France. First Impressions The people here truly embody relaxation (la détente). Since it’s summer, the sun sets late—still shining at 8:30 PM! 🌅 The seaside restaurants are packed with people drinking 🍻, smoking, chatting, and dining without a care in the world. Kindness of Strangers At one point, I was walking down a street with my backpack, clearly looking like someone who couldn’t get an Uber. A local guy just gave me a look—and immediately offered me a ride to my destination. 🚗💨 (Of course, I don’t recommend hitchhiking in unfamiliar places, but hey, daylight and good vibes helped!) Fitness & Food Balance France is famous for its pastries and desserts 🍮, but the French (both men and women) are super into fitness—especially running! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ I barely saw any overweight people here. Everyone, from young to old, seems to effortlessly balance indulgence and health. Getting Here I took the TGV from Paris (Gare Montparnasse)—just 4 hours 🚄—and arrived right by the sea.
