Exploring the Small Town of Durango, Colorado

💫Emerging from Utah's scorching desert, our first stop brought us to Durango, Colorado. 📷Stepping out of the car, the cool mountain breeze instantly soothed our travel fatigue—with temperatures ranging from 16 to 28 degrees Celsius, the contrast to Utah's heat was striking! 👉Originally, we had planned to continue to Silverton, but the tranquility and beauty of this small town captivated us, prompting us to slow down and wander through its historic downtown. ✅Durango's Historical Downtown feels like a living museum of the Old West. Victorian-style brick buildings, vintage gas lamps, and a well-preserved 19th-century train station transport visitors back to the Gold Rush era. 💟 The train museum showcases a 1882 steam locomotive and vintage carriages. Through faded photographs and railroad workers' tools, one can almost hear the whistles of the Denver and Rio Grande Railway echoing through the Rocky Mountains. #ColoradoTravel #WesternCharm #SummerRetreat
