Historical Downtown Gresham — Attraction in Gresham

Love it! Highly recommend it!!. Usually mellow place to go, not a lot of people, just the right amount.. Excellent restaurants, ( my favorite being the Greek restaurant right in front of a coffee shop that has the best if not almost the best coffee in Portland. It has a friendly vibe unless you walk towards the max.. which is usually not a good idea regardless of where you are at. Historical downtown Gresham also has Main park which is not my favorite park to go but I love their little Japanese garden.. and if you got kids they can play there since it's designed for kids. Never walk behind the park, ( right where the lake is) specially at night.. I have seen tons of homeless people ( not the nice kind but the ones that probably got in trouble with the cops) as well as police constantly riding their bikes through that area. Not my idea of a good time.. I would say that besides that area downtown is mostly safe. Never seen nothing go wrong, and I have been there a lot. There is a also a lot of stores, and by this I mean enough to entretain you for a while since there is two outdoor malls ( Ulta, Ross, Rue 21, world's market, PetSmart are some of the names that come to mind, but there is a lot more..). I can't think of anything to say about Gresham other than it is and in some places turned into a place I am trying rd to move away from. The homeless, vehicle break-ins, and other things going on don't make it a comfortable place to reside anymore. Having my truck broke into 3 times has made me hate this place and the police do nothing about any of it. I am told they are busy and understaffed but when you see several cruisers parked in the same or near the same spot night after night it makes it hard to believe they are doing their job to the fullest.
