Exploring the T-bone steak that is most popular among locals
Trattoria Dall'Oste is a century-old T-bone steakhouse that holds a spot on the list of the world's top 101 steaks, and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Florence. I was genuinely shocked when I saw the substantial piece of meat sizzling on the grill. 📍 Trattoria Dall'Oste (Book in advance via Google Maps) 🥩 T-bone Steak The steak starts at 1 kilogram, which is essentially a shared dish for the table. Everyone seemed to be there to savor this delicious piece of meat. The sizzling sound on the grill was particularly appetizing. I ordered it medium-rare, which I think is the perfect doneness (since I love the pinkish hue of the meat). It retains the beef's juices and tenderness, complemented by the crispy exterior from the Maillard reaction. The fatty parts were rich and flavorful, though they did get a bit greasy towards the end. 🥗 Salad I can't recall the specific type of salad, but the cherry tomatoes were outstanding—tender and sweet. The balsamic vinegar and olive oil mixture was also perfect for dipping bread. 🍐 Black Truffle Beef Tartare The raw beef was impeccable, and the addition of pear pieces and black truffle enhanced the texture and flavor. 📍 Granieri 1916 A random panini and ham shop I stumbled upon. The aroma of the ham was irresistible. I tried the black truffle sauce panini, which had a crispy crust and was perfectly complemented by the black truffle sauce and ham. (The meat slices were also quite large.) 📍 Ditta Artigianale Their Coffeemisu is a drinkable tiramisu. Unlike a latte, which retains a strong coffee flavor, this drink had very little coffee taste. It seemed to have condensed milk at the bottom, and the sweetness was just right after the ice melted. Definitely worth a try. #100RestaurantChallenge #UKStudent #EuropeTravel #Florence #FlorenceFoodGuide #TboneSteak #MustTrySteakhouse #TiramisuCoffee #BlackTruffleHam #FoodShare
