Fairbanks|Giving You a Pink North Star 💜

Fairbanks|Giving You a Pink North Star 💜❄️ In late December, Fairbanks, Alaska has extremely short daylight hours during winter. If you want to capture pink-purple or pink-blue skies, it’s best to plan your photos around sunrise and sunset times. Here are some great photo spots 📸✨ University of Alaska Museum of the North At the intersection heading up the mountain, there’s a large open area with a panoramic view of Fairbanks — especially beautiful at sunset 🌅🏔️. Image 5: Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center During Christmas, we encountered a blizzard with low visibility, so we explored downtown instead ❄️🌨️. At this visitor center, you can learn about Fairbanks’ history and culture, and even get your Arctic Circle and aurora certificates stamped 📜🦌. The surrounding area is lovely in the heavy snow, with little cabins and houses 🏡❄️. Chena Hot Springs Resort After soaking in the hot springs, I spotted this cozy cabin and lights right outside — the blue hour made it extra atmospheric ♨️💡🌌. The rest of the photos were taken casually at the airport or along the road — Alaska’s winter is truly special ✈️❄️📷. I used a Sony RX100 VII. It only ran low on battery once due to the cold, but I had a spare battery ready — it held up well in the extreme cold and stayed operational almost the whole time 🔋📸✅. #Alaska#Fairbanks#alaska#fairbanks#sonyrx100vii
