Fairbanks
Fairbanks - Here Are the 5 Restaurants You Need to Know (Part 1) 🍽️ Many popular restaurants in Fairbanks are closed on Sundays, so make sure to check Google Maps in advance to avoid disappointment! 🗺️🚫 Lavelle's Bistro ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📍 575 1st Ave, Fairbanks, AK 99701 My friend and I tried three dishes: a salad, shrimp toast, and lamb chops. I highly recommend the lamb chops—tender, juicy grilled lamb topped with a sweet-and-tangy kiwi sauce 🥝. I could eat several without feeling too heavy! The shrimp toast was a bit rich because of the creamy sauce and wasn’t particularly memorable, so I wouldn’t strongly recommend it. The salad was just… a regular salad 🥗. 📌 Note: Reservations are required, and you'll need to show proof of vaccination. Plan ahead if you want to visit! ✅💉 Thai House Restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📍 412 5th Ave, Fairbanks, AK 99701 Great value for money! We ordered four dishes and still had plenty left over for a late-night snack 🍱. The beef salad was nice—slightly sweet and refreshing, though the beef was a bit dry. The fried chicken was okay, nothing special. The yellow curry was quite authentic—curry lovers should give it a try! 🍛 Seoul Gate Restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5 stars) 📍 958 Cowles St #162, Fairbanks, AK 99701 This was my first meal after being hungry for 27 hours, so it felt amazing at the time 😋. I generally love Korean food, but being fair, I’d still give it 3.5 stars. Highlights: Seafood pancake (tender and packed with squid and other goodies) and tofu soup (warm, fragrant, perfect for sub-zero Fairbanks weather ❄️🍲). The bibimbap wasn’t outstanding—too many mixed veggies for my taste, and the pork was a bit dry. 📌 Note: This restaurant is in the basement, so it can be a little tricky to find! 🏢⬇️ #FairbanksFood#FairbanksKoreanFood#AlaskaTravel#FairbanksTravel#Fairbanks
