Fall Foliage Viewing & Lobster + Blueberry Food Hunt in Acadia, Maine
Spending two days in Acadia National Park was absolute bliss! After the rain cleared, the trails were covered in fallen leaves that filled the air with a fresh, earthy scent—being there totally recharged my energy. 🍂 Must-Try Trails in Acadia Jordan Pond Trail: Highly recommended for all ages! The path is relatively flat, making it easy for kids, seniors, or anyone who wants a relaxed hike. Beehive Trail: This one involves scrambling up and down rocky cliffs, but the total distance is short—so it doesn’t feel too tiring. And the views? Stunning beyond words! From the trail, you can see the lake below—clear and blue like a mirror tucked into the mountains—and the surrounding forests, painted in a mix of red and green like a natural color palette. There’s also a lone boulder perched in the landscape, so iconic it made me think of the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once—that “just be a rock” vibe felt so calm and grounding. 🪨 🦞 Blueberry & Lobster Paradise in Bar Harbor Bar Harbor is a total foodie’s dream! Maine produces over 90% of the U.S.’s lobsters and blueberries—and let me tell you, these two ingredients are a match made in heaven 🫐. Here are my top picks (and a few to skip): Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound (My Favorite!): Their lobsters are cheap and super fresh—you pick a live lobster on the spot, and they cook it right away. Dip the tender meat in hot butter, and it’s sweet, juicy, and perfect. Their blueberry pie was a surprise hit too: the crust is crispy, the filling is packed with plump blueberries, and pairing it with vanilla ice cream (hot and cold, sweet but not cloying) makes it refreshing and delicious. Jordan Pond Ice Cream: Their blueberry ice cream is good—loaded with real blueberry chunks—but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Still worth a try if you love bold blueberry flavor!🤞🤞 Havana (Cuban Restaurant): Highly recommend! We went on a weekday evening and could only get a bar table (no reservation needed), but the service was fantastic. The standout dish was their lobster seafood paella, seasoned with pineapple and onions. It had a slight tangy kick and rich creaminess—such a creative take on lobster. Even after eating lobster at multiple spots, this innovative dish left the deepest impression.😬😬 Jordan’s Restaurant (Breakfast Spot): Their lobster roll is even better than the one from the famous Bite into Maine food truck—it lets the sweet, fresh taste of the lobster meat shine through. Their blueberry muffin is also great: homemade, fluffy with a crispy top, and not too sweet. A lot of people rave about their pancakes, but I thought they were just “okay”—the real star is their blueberry jam; the pancakes themselves don’t stand out much. Skip This One: Kobe Ninja House Japanese Grill. One night we were too tired to walk far, so we ate here near our hotel. The portions were big, but the steak was so tough you could barely chew it, and the chicken was soggy and overcooked… Total waste of a dinner. 😫 This was my first time in Maine, and I fell in love with it! Acadia’s volcanic landscape is also incredibly unique. I’m already looking forward to exploring the fall foliage in the White Mountains and Vermont next. #FallFoliage #EasternUSTravelGuide #WantToRecordThisMoment
