Jordan Pond Ice Cream & Fudge — Restaurant in Bar Harbor

Me and my family have been spending the summers here in Bar Harbor for the last 20 years, and anyone who has visited knows ice cream is a big deal here. Everyone in my family had their opinions about which shop has the best ice cream, and we could never agree. One person liked MDI, one Ben and Bills, one Udder Heaven and one CJs. We decided to do a blind taste test to settle this once and for all, a scoop of vanilla from each place. While picking up our ice cream, the owner of another ice cream shop actually recommended that we throw Jordan’s into the mix, saying they make their own ice cream so it was worth trying. Well we thank him for the recommendation because it was the hands down favorite. Everyone on the family agreed it was the best one, and we tried them blind so there wasn’t favoritism. First time in Maine, I wanted icecream. Went in and were greeted with smiling faces and very pleased customers! My mom got 2 scoops of the chocolate peanut butter and was very pleased. I ordered one scoop of the mud slide and one scoop of the chocolate implosion. I was also very pleased. The Kahlua was very prominent in the mudslide and tasted phenomenal! The chocolate implosion also had fantastic flavour! The scoops were well-sized and not over priced. Phenomenal customer service from the three employees who were working. The employees clearly had a bond and seemed to enjoy eachother, making the environment very comfortable. The line was out to the street and was moving at a steady rate. This ice cream shop has some of the best ice cream you will ever try.

I had 2 scoops of vanilla and blueberry ice cream...and it was life changing. This was my first time having blueberry ice cream and I instantly fell in love with it. I loved how rich the blueberry flavor was and how it didn't taste artificial. I also loved how nicely it paired with the vanilla ice cream, which was also delicious on its own.

This place is also extremely popular so expect a line, but they take card/tap so that's a plus (we went to another ice cream shop in Bar Harbor but only cash was accepted there).

10/10 I would come eat here again!
