Falling for Texas | A Few Dallas Stories
šThis is where it all began. Having lived in the US for so many years, I never truly explored this place. Iāve seen so many posts calling Dallas boring⦠But to my surprise, I found it unexpectedly interesting š¤ ā and in such unique ways. Dallas feels like a city with its own strong character. This time, I also visited nearby Fort Worth ā the Cowboy Town š¤ And I absolutely loved it ā especially the Rodeo Show! Unlike other touristy towns, the moment I arrived, I felt like I was the cowboy ā not a tourist at all š The sense of immersion was unreal. Maybe thatās just the charm of Texas. šI used to have so many stereotypes about Texas, but after coming here, I found people to be warm, welcoming, and surprisingly open-minded. I donāt know if living here long-term would feel different, but for now ā I really like this place. Rugged yet gentle. The skyline isnāt towering, the streets arenāt crowded, but it doesnāt feel empty or abandoned. And ā most people dress so well! That effortless kind of cool. š Maybe the āredneckā vibe only really shows up in rural Texas⦠Most places and people here felt genuinely decent. Or maybe itās just the low percentage of certain groups here. In a time when far-left ideologies can feel exhausting, I feel like Iāve seen through a lot of the āliberalā performativity. Even as an immigrant, I donāt enjoy the ādiversityā narrative as much as I used to. šDallas in the fall is truly comfortable ā a season of wearing whatever you want š and feeling completely free. A week here felt both fast and slow. Country roads⦠take me home. š Maybe home isnāt a place, but a feeling. And in Dallas, I felt strangely at peace. š¾ #US #Texas #Dallas
