Falling for Texas | A Few Dallas Stories

🐃This is where it all began. Having lived in the US for so many years, I never truly explored this place. I’ve seen so many posts calling Dallas boring… But to my surprise, I found it unexpectedly interesting šŸ¤” — and in such unique ways. Dallas feels like a city with its own strong character. This time, I also visited nearby Fort Worth — the Cowboy Town 🤠 And I absolutely loved it — especially the Rodeo Show! Unlike other touristy towns, the moment I arrived, I felt like I was the cowboy — not a tourist at all šŸ˜‚ The sense of immersion was unreal. Maybe that’s just the charm of Texas. šŸ–I used to have so many stereotypes about Texas, but after coming here, I found people to be warm, welcoming, and surprisingly open-minded. I don’t know if living here long-term would feel different, but for now — I really like this place. Rugged yet gentle. The skyline isn’t towering, the streets aren’t crowded, but it doesn’t feel empty or abandoned. And — most people dress so well! That effortless kind of cool. šŸ˜Ž Maybe the ā€œredneckā€ vibe only really shows up in rural Texas… Most places and people here felt genuinely decent. Or maybe it’s just the low percentage of certain groups here. In a time when far-left ideologies can feel exhausting, I feel like I’ve seen through a lot of the ā€œliberalā€ performativity. Even as an immigrant, I don’t enjoy the ā€œdiversityā€ narrative as much as I used to. šŸ‚Dallas in the fall is truly comfortable — a season of wearing whatever you want šŸ‘— and feeling completely free. A week here felt both fast and slow. Country roads… take me home. šŸ‚ Maybe home isn’t a place, but a feeling. And in Dallas, I felt strangely at peace. 🌾 #US #Texas #Dallas
