Favorite Korean Restaurant: Nam Chon
I stumbled upon this Korean restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try because of its good ratings. Little did I know that I would end up visiting many timesβitβs the Korean restaurant I keep coming back to the most. Apart from having to wait in line during peak hours, there are no real issues. The food is very authentic. The owner is an elderly Korean gentleman who even says βthank youβ in English. Itβs quite charming. Here are my favorite dishes: Bulgogi Bibimbap: πππππ Beef mixed rice. A classic and always delicious. Beef Ribeye Dolsot: πππππ Stone pot beef ribeye bibimbap. I personally prefer the stone pot version, but both dishes have a similar flavor. Theyβre incredibly aromatic. The beef is tender and flavorful, and the vegetables are fresh. Iβm getting hungry just thinking about it. π€€ Seafood Pancake: ππππ This pancake is packed with fresh seafood, which seafood lovers will really enjoy. However, the pancake itself can get a bit sticky and heavy if you eat too much. Dipping it in the sauce helps. Beef Ribeye Bulgogi: πππππ The classic Korean BBQ beef ribeye with a hint of sweetness. Itβs delicious, though it might be a bit too sweet for some. Since I enjoy sweeter dishes, I love it! Fish Cake Soup: πππππ A light yet flavorful broth with fish cakes. This is the only dish I finish entirely. Itβs great for cutting through the richness of the other dishes. The soup is well-stocked with ingredients and even includes some skewers. Cheese Tteokbokki: ππππ Spicy yet slightly sweet rice cakes with cheese. They have a chewy texture and are quite addictive. Once you start eating them, itβs hard to stop. #PhillyFood #Philadelphia #LocallyRecommendedRestaurants
