Federal Way | Korean Snow Thick Soup

๐ŸŒŸFor dinner today, I visited Yiโ€™s Traditional Korean Beef Soup in Federal Way, a Korean restaurant specializing in snow thick soup. I consider this place when Iโ€™m in the mood for something soupy but donโ€™t want to eat anything too greasy. ๐ŸŒŸThe menu is very concise, offering various types of snow thick soup, such as beef tongue, beef brisket, tendon, etc. You can also order a beef platter, which includes various parts of boiled beef. The original soup is simply seasoned, and you can add salt to taste. ๐ŸŒŸThey recently introduced a Korean soft tofu soup, which is a spicy soup. I tried it for the first time and ordered the version with beef. The soup was very rich, with the beefโ€™s natural meaty flavor and a blended spicy taste. The soup isnโ€™t too spicy, and I ended up drinking it all. They add a raw egg, which goes perfectly with the tofu. ๐ŸŒŸI especially love their kimchi. Itโ€™s slightly spicy and sweet. Paired with purple rice and tofu soup, itโ€™s a perfect combination. I always order the seafood pancake; itโ€™s thick and crispy, and delicious with the sauce. We also tried the house dumpling soup. The dumplings were a bit soft after being cooked in the soup; personally, I prefer Chinese dumplings or fried dumplings! ๐ŸŒŸAfter dinner, I walked around the nearby Trader Joeโ€™s. Thereโ€™s also Boba Lust and Daiso (this Daiso is huge with a lot of stuff, great for browsing). ๐ŸŒŸAt the entrance of Trader Joeโ€™s, under the clear sky, Mount Rainier was prominently in view. At that moment, I felt there was no need to search for a photo spot. Because in summer, Seattleโ€™s beauty is everywhere. #KoreanCuisine #AroundSeattle #Seattle
