FEY Restaurant:An outstanding Sichuan restaurant in Bay Area

Spicy Kidney Flowers 🌟🌟🌟🌟 $25.99 The kidney slices are thin and delicate, a testament to the chef's skill, with a very tender and smooth texture. The only downside is that the kidneys here have a slightly gamey taste, but it's not very noticeable under the spicy oil. However, considering you can get a pound of pork kidneys for $3 in the supermarket, the price here is almost nine times more, which I find a bit hard to accept. Considering the skill and labor involved, I think a price around $18 would be more reasonable. Spicy Chicken Tendon Gems 🌟🌟🌟 $28.99 I was captivated by the chicken tendon gems at Spicy Way, but this version was a bit different. At first glance, you might mistake this dish for stir-fried potato chunks. The chicken tendon gems are a bit hidden 😂. I have to say, the side dishes in this dish are really tasty. I love the lotus root chunks the most, which are crispy on the outside and crunchy on the inside, with a sweet flavor, super delicious! The potato chunks are also like baked, soft and glutinous inside, I love it! But as for the chicken tendon gems, to be honest, I found them a bit too sweet, possibly marinated with a New Orleans-style barbecue sauce and sugar, lacking the "spicy" flavor I was expecting. I thought I'd be picking chicken tendons out of a pile of chili peppers, but it turned out I was mostly eating potatoes and lotus root 😂. The dried tofu chunks are also quite good, they taste like tender chicken. In the end, I spent $30 on a dish that was mostly side dishes. Stir-Fried Pig Intestines 🌟🌟🌟 $16.99 This is a standard dish found in many Sichuan and Hunan restaurants. This place fries them very crispy, a bit hard, but overall still very good. I really like the red chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns in the flavor, that's the taste! It would be even better with some celery as a side dish. To be honest, I might prefer the intestines to be a bit softer, more glutinous and flavorful. Next time, I'll try the dry pot version. The price of this dish is reasonable, it hasn't inflated, so it's worth ordering! 🍴FEY Restaurant 1368 EL CAMINO REAL, MENLO PARK, CA 94025 #FEY Restaurant#Menlo Park #Bay Area weekend
