However, the choice of budget-friendly furnishings and retention of shower/tub combos (rather than modern walk-in showers) shows where corners were cut. The neighboring Marriott's contemporary approach might be worth noting for future updates. 🏢 Hotel Amenities Status: Executive Lounge: Still closed after a year, though promising renovation plans are circulating Lobby Bar: Could use an upgrade - currently feels dated compared to brighter, more inviting nearby options Parking: Remains the standout feature with the most secure garage in the airport area 🚐 Transportation Feedback: The airport shuttle service is convenient but frequency needs improvement. For one of the largest hotels in the area, the current shuttle circulation around the airport loop seems insufficient during peak times. 🔒 Security Concern: The modern smart elevators present a missed opportunity for enhanced security. Currently, anyone can access guest floors without key card authentication - a concerning oversight that many contemporary airport hotels have addressed. ⭐ Overall Assessment: This remains my go-to LAX hotel for its reliable comfort, excellent parking, and airport proximity.
