Finally got to try Franklin BBQ, ranked the #1 BBQ in the US!

😃This morning in Austin, there was a sudden drop in temperature. I thought, since it’s cold, I’ll take a chance at Franklin. I didn’t expect there to be so few people. With the mindset of ā€œI’m already here,ā€ I stood shivering in the cold wind for two hours and finally got to taste the well-deserved, legendary BBQ. šŸ‘Franklin BBQ 900 E 11th St, Austin, TX 78702 Hours: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., closed on Mondays. The staff mentioned that the first person in line today arrived around 6:30 a.m.—quite impressive. Although the restaurant is open until 3 p.m., the limited menu items sell out quickly. By around 11:30 a.m., the staff announced that the beef rib and turkey were gone. Beef ribs are only available on weekends. šŸŒžThe meat is truly delicious. The brisket is so tender it melts in your mouth. The pork ribs are perfectly cooked—juicy and tender, with just the right seasoning. The sausage is the best I’ve had in the past few days. Apart from missing out on the beef rib and turkey, everything else is impeccable. šŸ’ÆTheir BBQ sauces are also amazing, with four different flavors. When I first entered, I saw bottles of sauce for sale but thought I’d try the food first. Turns out, I couldn’t go back to buy the sauces. I’ll have to wait until next time. Satisfied and ready to head home, I’m looking forward to starting another busy week. #food #WeekendEats #BBQ #GrilledMeat #AustinBBQ #AustinFood
