Finally Had Something Delicious

📍 Lan It’s been three months since I landed in Brisbane, and this marked my first venture out to savor Chinese cuisine—and what a revelation it was! The food was genuinely fantastic, so much so that I’m already set on a second visit. It had been over half a year since my last bite of lamb chops, and these ones hit all the right notes, leaving me utterly captivated by their aroma. As someone from Guangdong, I’d been fretting that the spiciness might be overwhelming, but after requesting less heat, it turned out perfectly mild 🤣—all that remained was an irresistible fragrance. The lamb chops were cooked to tender perfection, with a crispy outer layer that locked in juices, and each mouthful was a symphony of savory flavors that danced on the tongue. We ate until we were completely stuffed, yet as we stepped out, the very first thing my friend and I said was, “Next time, we’ve got to try the ‘Maoxuewang’ and other dishes!” It’s safe to say our minds were solely occupied with thoughts of food, and nothing else seemed to matter 🥹. The restaurant itself had a cozy, welcoming vibe, with warm lighting and friendly staff that made the meal even more enjoyable. 📍 Clove Even though I opted for takeout from here, their fried dishes were a delightful surprise. The crispy batter gave way to juicy, flavorful fillings—whether it was the golden-fried chicken wings or the perfectly seasoned calamari, each bite was satisfyingly crunchy and full of taste. It’s finals month, and my brain feels like it’s running on fumes; in these chaotic times, nothing comforts me quite like a hearty, delicious meal. #MyStudyAbroadLife #BrisbaneChineseFood #BrisbaneLan #EatingWell #BrisbaneLife
