šš First time in London - Slay or Nay?
š I've heard so much about London and finally made a trip back in Nov! š šø Generally, food and shopping is costly here plus there's no tourist tax refund since UK left the EU. š·šŖšŗ London's really filled with tourists and it's so difficult to find a place to eat for dinner if you didn't make any reservations, especially at popular areas like Regent Street, Covent Garden etc. š½ļøšļø š Here are some of the places I've visited during my first time to London and some very honest reviews o š Borough Market š Some say it's a tourist trap but it's a great place for you to try some local treats! š°š® I queued 40 minutes for Q Humble Crumble | Borough Market's apple crumble and it was WORTH IT š You should try the truffle mushroom risotto too :P P.S It's very crowded here so be careful of getting pickpocketed š (I lost my YouTrip card here) Rating: 6.5/10 š š The Shard š I chanced upon this place after visiting Borough Market and it was a great! š I caught the sunset and it was extremely breathtaking coupled with the beautiful London landscape. Get a bird's eye view of the London skyline and visit during sunset to capture amazing sky views š Rating: 8/10 š šø Camden Town šø This area has a market (Q Camden Market) and a whole street with vintage shopping and other retail. šļø I had the famous cheese loaded fries at the market and it was so filling !! š Pretty nice area to explore with lots of eating and shopping options šļø Rating: 7/10 š š° Buckingham Palace š° You need to visit this place at least once in your life! š Went in winter so the palace was closed but I managed to witness the guards changing ceremony. š My favourite was the gardens which was so picturesque - you'll get to catch some animals walking around too š³ Rating: 9/10 š š° Tower of London š° Pretty cool to soak into the English medieval times as you walk around the ancient castles where the oldest monarchies of England used to live. š° It's been through several invasions and rich with so much history and stories to tell. You can get to see the crown jewels of the British Monarchy (like the late Queen Elizabeth's crown) in person too! š After exiting the tower, you'll be greeted with London's most iconic landmark Tower Bridge! š #ThingsToDo #HolidaySharing #London #LondonItinerary #WhatToEatInLondon #Winter #UK
