Florence Food Diary 37/100
📍 Cantinetta Antinori ⚜️ This restaurant is located next to the Hermès store and is housed in a historic castle. The ambiance is excellent. As the only restaurant in Italy affiliated with the Antinori winery (the other one is in London), the wine list is, of course, impeccable. 🍝 PAPPARDELLE AL RAGÙ This dish is self-proclaimed to be among the top Ragù in Florence and is a must-order every time I visit. The meat sauce is incredibly fresh and flavorful, and it pairs perfectly with the wide Pappardelle pasta. It’s a quintessential Florentine meat sauce pasta dish. 🍝 TAGLIATA AL RAGÙ DI PESCE A very unique dish (I forgot to take a photo), it’s neither a traditional pasta nor unpalatable. If you’re curious, it’s worth a try. 🥩 TAGLIATA DI MANZO CON PATATE ARROSTO The roasted potatoes are excellent. The steak this time is praiseworthy, but the quality of the steak here can be inconsistent—sometimes it’s perfect, and other times it might be overcooked... It’s pretty much a matter of luck. However, the pasta and wine are generally reliable. (See photo 6 from my last visit when the steak was overcooked.) 🍰 TIRAMISÙ Delicious and worth ordering, though it’s not mind-blowingly amazing.
