Florence Hidden Gem Restaurant Recommendation | Google Rating 4.5
While strolling and taking photos near the Florence Cathedral, I stumbled upon this place with a Google rating of 4.5 and just had to go in. The decor is very homely, the portions are generous, and the menu is seafood-focused with lots of options, including some special dishes. For the appetizer, I ordered mussels in a white sauce—16 euros for a huge portion with very flavorful broth! 🦪 The seafood pasta is very filling and flavorful at 16 euros—I highly recommend it! The restaurant actually recommends their lobster pasta, but I preferred the seafood option. The Bolognese pasta is 12 euros, and the T-bone steak is also very generous in portion. I ordered it medium-rare, and it was incredibly tender with great beef quality. I also wanted to try their tiramisu but was too full. 🥩 There’s no extra service charge here, but the service is the best I’ve experienced in Italy so far. They serve dishes in order, and there are lots of locals, including large tables. Highly recommended! 👍 Great value for money—I didn’t expect such generous portions for an average of 30 euros per person. I’ve seen a few reviews online about this place. If you can’t get a reservation at the popular Zaza restaurant, definitely give this one a try. 📍 Trattoria La Madia #Florence #FlorenceFood #FlorenceTown #FlorenceTravel #ItalyTravel #HiddenGemRestaurants
