TOURIST TRAP WARNING!!! This is by far the worse restaurant I have been at, not just in Firenze but in Italy.
When I arrived they were serving a large group of tourists and I should have followed my inner self but, I was really hungry and didn't want to keep searching.
I got the Antipasto Toscano, which was very average to say the least. I mean no way to go wrong with charcuterie in Italy but certainly it wasn't the best quality. For the second course I ordered the risotto stagione which was supposed to be with mushrooms and the lady/owner convinced me to upgrade it for the Porcini mushroom only. I agreed but my second mistake was to not ask about the price (the 1st mistake was entering that place). I received the worse risotto of my entire life, not even in mexico o the US they can possibly make it that bad. It was watery, kind of broken and unseasoned at all, not even a pinch of salt, pepper, not even talk about butter or cheese and literally 4 tiny chuncks of porcini. Of course I didn't buy anything else, not even coffee.
When I went to the register I found out that they charged me €30 euros for the worse and most disgusting risotto in the country. Please save your money and go somewhere else. Just to give you an idea, the price of the "porcini risotto" in the no. 101 steak house im the world, is €18 and yes, it's also located in Firenze just a few blocks from this...

An absolute Gem of a find. Florence is riddled with restaurants and eateries so your not too far from great food. Sometimes it’s best to walk the streets and see what you like the look of and then correlate this with Google reviews. We were after some food as we had not eaten for a long time. We came across Trattoria. It was very, very busy, which is always a good sign. There were just 2 waiters running the restaurant in a very impressive way. They were rushed of their feet but, did a very good job. The restaurant continued to have people arriving, which reassured us. We were given complimentary bread with Olive oil. The Bread was delicious! We then ordered drinks and I was given a freshly squeezed orange juice as requested. The Menu is great with many mouth watering options, but the prices are amazing! Absolutely astounding prices. Both our meals were superb. The customer service was great, second to none. We were very well looked after, as we’re the rest of the customers. Sadly the manager was not around for me to compliment his restaurant. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, with some fantastic food. Definitely worth a visit if your in Florence. 1 pointer I would say was the tables are so close together you lose your privacy, but I also appreciate and understand it’s such a busy restaurant and customers just keep coming. Thank you for the Trattoria...
Read moreDisappointed. Food quality (freshness, taste, and etc) was well below my expectations and service was bit "forceful" like some other claimed.
Based on the reviews and the location of this restaurant, I was excited to dine here. However, at the moment the meal came out, my excitement turned into pure disappointment.
Food: Had seafood based meals and both meals weren't seasoned enough and smelled "fishy" as it came out. I'm a big fan of Frutti di Mare and it just didn't have that savory flavor that all Frutti di Mare has. It simply wasn't seasoned enough and didn't understand why they "lemoned" it so much. For the first time in my dining experience within Italy, I spat out mussel. They claim to use fresh ingredients, but some were definitely questionable.
Service: Some could interpret as "energetic" service and some could interpret as "forceful". It really depends on you, but I did witness a server keep going on and on when this one lady customer clearly stated she's not interested in steak. Nothing "super" in my personal opinion.
Overall, general service with sadly disappointing food. Food was definitely disappointing during my visit and didn't meet the quality like few...
