Florence local tomahawk steakhouse
How could you come to Florence and not try the famous tomahawk steak? The first time I came to Florence, I tried Dall'Oste. It was just okay. I ordered it medium-well, but it was too rare. When I cut into it, it was almost raw, like chewing on a cow. I really couldn't handle that.πππ This is my second time in Florence. A friend recommended a local century-old shop, Osteria Vecchio Cancello, but I couldn't get a reservation. Maybe next time. I even tried to negotiate with the owner to see if we could wait for a table, but he said it was just too busy that day.πππ Fine! So, we randomly chose Trattoria Guelfa, which is right across the street from the old shop. As you can see in the picture, the medium-well doneness is just perfect! The outside is slightly charred, and the inside is a beautiful pink, full of meat juices. It's delicious with just a bit of black pepper and sea salt!β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ The place is packed with locals, and it stays open until 11:30 p.m. If you're in Florence and don't know which steak place to try, give this one a shot. We also ordered meat juice pappardelle, shrimp, and Italian meatballs (we actually ordered too much. For two people, a 1kg tomahawk steak is more than enough). The best part is that there's no waiting in line, which is perfect for those who hate queues.π»π»π» I also went to the popular Zaza, but the long line made me dizzy, and the food wasn't that great (this is just my personal taste. If you disagree, please don't argue). #Florence #FlorenceCuisine #FlorenceRestaurants #FlorenceExploration
