Flying Like a Bird Over the Ocean 🌊

This has to be the closest thing to real flight! My first-ever paragliding adventure 🪂 If you’re visiting San Diego, don’t miss out on this extreme sports experience—just about an hour's drive from LA 🚗 The paragliding site is right next to Black Beach, a famous local nude beach 🏖️ 💰 Price: $175 for the flight only / $225 includes a GoPro-style video of your experience 📞 Booking: No need to book far in advance—just call ahead to check wind and weather conditions. (I almost couldn’t fly because it was too windy that day!) 🪂 The Process & Experience: Before flying, you’ll sign a bunch of waivers and pay. Then you wait on the big lawn—around 15 mins or more, depending on the wind. When they call your name, you’re up! The flight lasts 20-30 minutes with an instructor. My coach had over 20 years of paragliding experience and was also a skydiving instructor—so impressive! 👍 He taught me how to steer and control the glider, and after a few demos, he let me take over! 😨 About That “Weightless” Feeling: Don’t worry! I’m terrified of roller coasters, but paragliding felt stable—no intense drops. The ocean breeze was strong 💨 The instructor did a few sharp turns for fun which made me a little dizzy, but once we stabilized, it was pure magic. 🏖️ The Views: Breathtaking from above! We glided along the cliffs overlooking Black Beach, soared close to the edges, and dipped toward the ocean. Seagulls flew right beside us 🕊️ It truly felt like “facing the ocean, spring blossoms in heart” 🌸 Besides the natural scenery, the pilot pointed out several insane cliffside mansions.
