Food & Drink Diary | Nashville | Some Fresh & Delicious Brunch Spots

Most brunch spots in Nashville serve classic Southern fare: biscuits, gravy, fried chicken, waffles, French toast… 🧇🍗 Since we usually have heavier meals (and drinks!) at night, I prefer something lighter in the morning. It took some effort, but I found a few places serving fresh, tasty “white people food” that actually hits the spot! 😂🥗 🌟 Two Hands Located near The Gulch, this was my backup plan after seeing hour-long lines at Biscuit Love and Milk & Honey… 😅 We snagged seats at the bar—no table, but still cozy! I ordered the Tomato Toast—not something you see everywhere—and loved it! 🍅✨ Green tomatoes were crisp and refreshing, cherry tomatoes were pan-fried and tangy, all on sourdough with ham, cream cheese, pesto, and a perfect poached egg. So many flavors and textures! We also got the Mushroom Bowl + Salmon—simple, healthy, and well-made. Typical… but tasty! 🌟 The Mockingbird No exaggeration—this might be the most “white girl” restaurant in all of Nashville. Literally everyone there was a white girl… except us 😂 The vibe is cute and aesthetic, and the menu is creative (almost too creative—it’s hard to tell what you’re ordering!). For example, their avocado toast is called “Avo Nice Day” 🥑🌞 Food was solid—I’d give it a 7.5/10. Everything was good, though not mind-blowing. The Zucchini Bread stood out—moist, cinnamony, packed with walnuts and raisins. Really comforting! Despite being “elevated white people food,” the portions were decent and prices reasonable. Definitely a conscience-friendly 😉 Neither of these are your typical Nashville viral spots, but they’re great if you want a break from heavy Southern food and crave something fresh and flavorful! 📷 iPhone 15pro . . #BrunchVibes #NashvilleEats #FreshBites #FoodDiary #TravelEats #USATravel #WhiteGirlApproved #FoodReview #LightMeals
