Food Diary | LA + Palm Springs Food Guide đ˝ď¸ Zero Disappointments!
1ď¸âŁ Torihei (Yakitori) âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ Order blindly without worry! Favorites: chicken liver, gizzard, chicken skin, chicken thigh with scallions, special hearts, and pork belly with cherry tomatoes â surprisingly delicious! 2ď¸âŁ Las Brisas âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ A popular seaside restaurant đ´ Recommended: scallops â super tender with tangy pickled berries that elevate the flavor. (Window seats require reservations â no walk-ins!) 3ď¸âŁ Sun Nong Dan âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ An LA classic! I always get their Special Beef Soup. At first, I thought it looked too plain, but it won over my strong taste buds. Perfect after a red-eye flight and even better during that time of the month â so comforting! 4ď¸âŁ Ruen Pair âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ A must-eat for everyone visiting LA! Our most satisfying meal of the trip đ Braised pork leg rice â every grain coated in rich sauce, paired with spicy Thai chili sauce = addictive! Spicy clams were also perfect with rice. The raw shrimp was unexpectedly fresh and delicious with the dipping sauce. Stir-fried was incredibly fresh. We cleaned all four plates after a long day! 5ď¸âŁ Master Ha âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ Came with high hopes for this Korean soy-marinated crab đŚ â the crab roe mixed with rice was so satisfying! Maybe my expectations were too high, but it was still delicious. Wanted live uni but it was sold out, so we got the uni bowl â the uni was great, but the fried rice inside was just okay. 6ď¸âŁ Tac/Quila âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ A popular spot in Palm Springs â our second most impressive meal! Went in with low expectations thinking it was overhyped, but the calamari and beer-battered avocado had us speechless. Light, crispy batter, not oily at all. Shrimp tacos and steak plate were also good. Try to reserve â it gets busy after 6 PM! 7ď¸âŁ FARM âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ A trendy brunch place in Palm Springs. Ordered the classic eggs Benedict and breakfast sandwich â both solid. Beautiful atmosphere. Went around 8 AM on a Sunday â no wait! #FoodieApproved #TravelEats #LAFood #PalmSpringsEats
