Food Review: LA Kazan 🍜✨

LA Kazan has been recommended by the Michelin Guide for three consecutive years! 🏆 We tried two of their signature ramen bowls. The noodles are freshly pressed, all sauces and oils are made in-house, and the ingredients are top-quality. 👨🍳🌱 So, how was the flavor? The chef is Japanese, and the dishes are labeled as Japanese cuisine... but whether it was the ramen or the tempura, I honestly couldn’t detect a strong Japanese essence. 🍥🤔 It felt more like a household where there’s a Cantonese mom + a Sichuan dad + a kid who’s determined to make fancy French food. 🥢🌶️🍲 Let’s talk about the two signature ramens: The non-spicy one tasted like wonton with bamboo noodle textures, paired with char siu that had a hint of Hong Kong-style roast meat, and a strong drizzle of truffle oil. The spicy one was like a generous scoop of heaven-facing chili paste — so intense, I’m not sure how non-locals handle it! 🌶️🔥 Overall, the quality of ingredients and the complexity of cooking definitely live up to the Michelin recognition. But when it comes to taste—well, that’s up to you! 😉 Have you been to Kazan? What did you think of their flavor fusion?
