Food Review|Xiang Cuisine in SD: Village Kitchen
Address: 4720 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92117 Average cost: Around $20-30 per person After shopping at the desert outlets on Black Friday🛍️, I hadn’t eaten a proper meal all day and was absolutely starving by dinner time😋! I felt like I could eat a whole cow🐮… and ended up devouring four or five bowls of lard rice🍚. My friend even joked, “I never knew you could eat so fast!”😂 🌶️ Recommended Dishes: Mashed Eggplant with Chili🍆—Soft, flavorful, and nicely spicy! Lard Rice🍚—Simple but incredibly fragrant, kept going back for more~ Bullfrog🐸—Tender meat, numbing and spicy! Meatball Soup🥣—Light and comforting, meatballs were hearty~ Braised Beef Brisket🥘—Slow-cooked until tender, perfect with rice! ⚠️ Heads-up: Brown Sugar Mochi🍡—Maybe because they were about to close, it was fried too hard and dry, not recommended😔. Stir-fried Black Pork with Chili🐷—I noticed a slight pork smell, but my friend liked it, so it depends on your taste~ 💁 Service Notes: We arrived near closing time, so the chefs and servers seemed in a rush to finish up⏰. Food came out super fast, but they were also quick to clear plates and bring the bill. With tax and tip, the total came close to $200💰. Overall, most dishes were tasty👍—great for satisfying a big hunger! Just try not to go too late to avoid “closing-time mode”😉. #XiangCuisine #SanDiegoFood #FoodReview #FoodieDiary #RestaurantRecommendation #SpicyFood #DiningOut
