For This Duck, We Made a Crazy Decision

🌙On that incredibly crazy night in Budapest, we separated from the “main group” to capture the best views. After returning to our hotel from the night cruise, we decided to take a taxi to eat at a local Hungarian restaurant. 🚗When we arrived by taxi, we were told there were no available tables. However, after explaining to the staff that we were leaving the next day, they managed to find a table for us. 🥂If I ever have the chance to return to Budapest, I would definitely choose this restaurant again. Thank you to my friends who accompanied me on this wild adventure. 🦆Roasted Duck Liver: After a long wait, the duck liver finally arrived. The moment it touched my tongue, the aroma spread throughout my mouth. This rich, fatty flavor was truly intoxicating. The sides of sweet potato puree and roasted beetroot were delicious. It was my first time finding beetroot so enjoyable… 🥩Beef Cheek: This beef cheek dish gave me the illusion of eating Chinese food. The cheek was tender and flavorful, with a sauce that didn’t overpower the dish. The texture and aroma of the beef were strong, with some saying it felt like eating spiced beef (laughs). The side of Czech dumplings (yes, those bun-like things the Czechs call “dumplings”) perfectly matched my taste. 🦆Duck Breast: I never thought duck breast could be so delicious! This dish completely changed my perception of duck breast. The ingredients were top-notch, with the duck breast having zero gamey flavor and a firm, elastic texture. Beneath it was a layer of cabbage lasagna (at least according to the English menu). I’m not sure about this combination, but the texture was good. 🐟Pan-Seared Cod: The cod was very juicy, with a crispy exterior and tender interior. The sides were also soft and delicious. Importantly, each of the dishes we ordered had a distinct flavor! It’s clear that the restaurant has put in a lot of effort. 🍲Beef Soup: To be honest, the beef soup, which I had high hopes for, was just average… The spices were a bit too strong, overpowering the natural sweetness of the beef. However, my companions thought the beef soup was quite good. Foreign restaurants seem to have a habit of bringing all the dishes at once, so before the food came, we had to pass the time by drinking… The people at the next table had already finished one round of drinks, and our food still hadn’t arrived… Average cost per person: 120-150 RMB (extremely high cost-performance) #SpringDishWildMap #Budapest #RoastedDuckLiver #HungarianFood #RuiRuisGatheringPlace #ChainBridge
