🍷🦪 Found Oyster: Daytime Oyster Tasting and Freedom
It's exactly the kind of seafood bistro I've always dreamed of. 🦪🦞🐟 Hidden in East Hollywood, it has a small storefront with just a long bar counter and a few cozy tables. The ambiance is vintage American style, complete with a 🪩 disco ball. A chalkboard lists the daily oysters and menu specials. ▹ Baywatch Platter Includes a dozen oysters, half Moon Shoal and half Mr. Bill's, both from the East Coast. ▫️Moon Shoal has a clean, refreshing sea saltiness with a hint of creamy sweetness at the end. ▫️Mr. Bill's has a more petite and smooth texture, sliding effortlessly into your mouth. Also includes three jumbo tiger shrimp and Sicilian crudo, salmon and fluke, simply drizzled with olive oil and fresh lemon juice, paired with capers and finely chopped onions. This platter is incredibly satisfying 🦐🫒🍋. ▹ Fried Kanpachi Collar A daily special, fried amberjack collar! The cooking is superb, with a crispy batter and tender, moist fish that's rich but not greasy. Served with yuzu soy sauce, it's fresh, slightly sweet, and so delicious you can't stop eating! Their Charred Brocolini 🥦 is also delicious. When we left without trying dessert, the waiter recommended Saffy's nearby. You can easily strike up a conversation with the neighboring table. This kind of atmosphere is just so joyful. #LosAngelesFood #LA #Oysters #SeafoodLover #LosAngeles #HiddenGemShared #LosAngelesTravel #LosAngelesFoodAdventure
