Fourvière Basilica + Old Town + River Cruise

😖 I felt a bit unwell in the morning and only set off at ten o'clock to start today's itinerary. 🚕 While taking a taxi, I chatted with the driver about the weather. He said Lyon rarely has such continuous rain in September and October like this year, and we happened to catch this abnormal climate. I said that it was just right for us to enjoy a different kind of scenery, which was also good luck 🌆 We took a taxi directly to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, which is on the top of Fourvière Hill. From here, we can see the panoramic view of Lyon. Even though it's rainy today, the view is still very clear. However, the wind on the hill is quite cold, so it's recommended to wear more clothes on rainy days.👌 ⛪️ After seeing Milan Cathedral, these seem more or less the same. But many attractions in Lyon, including churches, are free. If you have time, you can come for a walk. There are also Bibles and preaching materials inside the church. ☕️ There is a souvenir shop on each side of the church. The shop on the west side is next to a café, and the second floor has a great view, where you can also see the panoramic view of the city. It should be even better on a sunny day. We went in to refuel. The hamburger can be regarded as a light meal, but the desserts are a no-go. None of the four in the picture are delicious. 🗿 It's a 5-minute walk from the church to the ruins of the Gallo-Roman Theatre. It should be a great spot for photos on a sunny day. When we arrived, it happened to rain heavily, making it not very good for taking photos, so we just enjoyed the feeling of walking in the rain.😊 🚶‍➡️ Coming out of the theatre, walk east for a while, and there will be a path on the right, which feels very much like the mountain trails in. It's about a 20-minute walk to Vieux Lyon, Rue Saint-Jean. According to netizens' recommendations, we found the Little Prince souvenir shop on the street, but it was closed at noon and would open at 2 o'clock (I sigh, the people of Lyon are really leisurely, haha). ⌛️ We first went to a restaurant diagonally opposite to eat, waiting for the souvenir shop to open. Because we wanted to eat fried chicken, the guy at the door ing customers recommended this dish in the picture, saying it was just right for two people, and that he could finish it alone. As a result, we were all shocked when the dish was served. How many family buckets is this... We couldn't finish it at all, and finally packed it. The taste was not good.🤣 🚢 After wandering around, we took a taxi to Vaise, the starting station on the north side of the cruise route, and found that the existing guides were indeed not very detailed. First of all, there are indeed not many cruise departures, as shown in the picture. If the arrival time is quite different, you may have to wait for an hour; Secondly, the cruise will stop only if there are people waiting on the shore. If you want to get off at a non-starting station, there need to be people on the shore who want to get on, or at least 8 people getting off. ❤️ #LyonLife #StudyInLyon #LyonFrance #InternationalStudentKitchen #LyonTravel #LyonGuide #StudyInFrance #LyonFood
