———Continued from previous post ✨ Day Trip Around Avignon 📔 Day 5: ➡️ Sénanque Abbey A serene monastery nestled in a valley ⛪️ surrounded by lavender fields 🌸—perfect for peaceful, insta-worthy shots 📷. ➡️ Gordes (Stone Village) Charming stone houses, castles, and picturesque alleys 😃. ➡️ Lunch at LE CÉLESTIN Tried their grilled shrimp 🦐—unexpectedly delicious! 😋 ➡️ Roussillon (Red Ochre Village) A unique town with striking red cliffs 🏞️. Sadly lost my sunglasses here 😭. ➡️ Ménerbes A quiet, lesser-known Provençal village. ➡️ Fontaine-de-Vaucluse Stunning town with crystal-clear springs 💧—you can see emerald-green stones at the bottom! ➡️ L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue Another lovely town with pristine canals 💦. 🚗 Transport: Private car 🏨 Hotel: Mercure Pont d'Avignon Centre 📔 Day 6: ➡️ Sunflower Fields 🌻 Spotted a breathtaking field en route to Arles—stop for photos! 📷 ➡️ Arles Van Gogh’s former hometown 🏠! Visited his asylum, painting sites, and the Roman amphitheater. Funny story: I’d played the puzzle game Cube Escape: Arles (set in this asylum) but didn’t make the connection until I arrived—mind-blowing!* ➡️ Aigues-Mortes A medieval town full of flamingo-themed souvenirs. ➡️ Dinner at LE COMMERCE Average garlic mussels + fish soup 🐟, but edible. ➡️ Pink Salt Flats & Flamingos 🦩 HIGHLIGHT! The pink lakes are unreal 🤩 (see my video!). Take the tourist train 🚂 (€13.40/pax)—walking is exhausting. ➡️ Back to Avignon Dinner at Saigon Food (hidden gem!): Spicy green curry noodles 🤤 + chicken bao 🥙. 🚗 Transport: Private car 🏨 Hotel: Mercure Pont d'Avignon Centre Next stop: Marseille! 🚄 #FranceTravel #Provence #HiddenGems #VanGogh #LavenderFields #PinkLakes #SoloTravel #Wanderlust 🌍✨
