Frankfurt Traditional German Cuisine at Zum Rad 🥩🍗🍖

Nothing beats the gentle 20-degree breeze in early July, Enjoying a hearty meal and gulping down beer 🍺 at a German pub (I'm actually sipping on Apfelschrole🧃) My friend highly recommended their roasted pork knuckle, We booked a table in advance and arrived at the restaurant at 18:00. The courtyard was bustling with people, and all seats were taken. It felt like the first time I'd seen so many Germans having dinner this early. The business was so good that it took 10 minutes to get a drink, And our meal, which we ordered, made us wait for over an hour. But the taste was worth the wait. The traditional German roasted pork knuckle was fragrant and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside 🐷 The sauerkraut was sour just right, and the mashed potatoes were so creamy they melted in your mouth🥔 The fried pork chop 🥩 was also delicious, tender and juicy, a favorite among the locals! It's the season for chicken of the woods mushrooms recently, so I had cream of mushroom soup and chicken of the woods steak (This dish was average and a bit salty, the steak was overcooked even though it was ordered medium) In summary, Zum Rad is a place for delicious and affordable German cuisine. Although it's a bit far from the city center, it's still worth a visit. It's perfect for bringing parents to experience traditional German food in the future. #GermanLife #FrankfurtFoodRecommendation #HiddenGemRestaurantShare #WeekendExploration #GermanTraditionalDishes
