From East Coast to LA β Travel Diary Part 1 π«π΄
Spent Christmas in sunny LA! Flew from Halifax β Boston β LA (7 hours total β true dedication π ). Arrived at noon to perfect weather β not too hot, just right for someone used to cold winters. Felt like escaping a freezer for a beach towel! βοΈ Day 1 Checked into the hotel and wandered Ktown, then headed to Beverly Hills for dinner at 208 Rodeo Restaurant β decent but nothing special. π½οΈ Day 2 Morning visit to LV for my first hot stamp β super friendly staff! π Grabbed a $20 smoothie from Erewhon (overhyped but fun to try once). πΈ Afternoon at Westfield Century City: hotpot at Haidilao, milk tea at Bawang Chaji, and a surprise visit to Pop Mart (bought an Overwatch collab blind box β never thought Iβd be into these!). π₯€π Dinner at a Beverly Hills Japanese spot β Santa Barbara sea urchin was fresh, creamy, and delicious! π£ Day 3 Woke up to sunny skies β so dreamy! βοΈ Brunch at In-N-Out (tasty but not worth a special trip). Hollywood stop included Mixue Bingcheng β used my number for a $0.01 ice cream! π¦ Afternoon visit to Crypto.com Arena during a hockey game β lively fan events outside! π First-timer tips: β Stay in Beverly Hills β safe, good transit, reasonable hotels. β LAβs downtown feels spacious & less sketchy than expected (except the subway β smelly beyond belief! π€’). β Winter here = pure bliss. Seafood is fresh & affordable β donβt miss local sea urchin! Already dreaming of my next warm winter escapeβ¦ πβ¨ #LATravel #LAFood #BeverlyHills #TravelDiary #CaliforniaWinter #SeafoodLover #WarmEscape
