From Portland | Waterfall & Hood River Route 🌊🏔️

1️⃣ Crown Point · Vista HouseFirst stop: Vista House. Stand on the observation deck to overlook the entire Columbia River 🚤. 2️⃣ Latourell FallsNext, follow Historic Columbia River Highway—you’ll reach Latourell Falls soon. It’s one of the most accessible waterfalls in the gorge, with a drop of nearly 75 meters. A few minutes’ walk from the trailhead lets you feel the mist on your face up close 💦. 3️⃣ Bridal Veil FallsThird stop: Bridal Veil Falls. A small trail cuts through a forest, perfect for a leisurely stroll 🌲. 4️⃣ Multnomah FallsThe most famous Multnomah Falls! Said to be the second-tallest year-round waterfall in the U.S. (189 meters), its middle arch bridge is a classic photo spot 📸. The parking lot near the waterfall’s lower trail is hard to find a spot in—suggest parking at the lot by the highway and walking over (book the lot online in advance). It gets crowded, so go early! 🕘 Along the way, you’ll pass many spots for waterfalls or hiking where you can pull over and explore anytime 🚗. 5️⃣ Panorama PointContinue driving to Hood River and stop at Panorama Point—one of the best spots to admire Mt. Hood 🏔️. Near Hood River, check out the Fruit Loop! A circular country road lined with orchards, wineries, and farms. Choose to visit farms, taste wine, or buy fresh fruit 🥧. Recommended Farms: The Gorge White House: A local famous orchard & historic building, with wine and seasonal fruit picking 🍇. Lavender Farms: In summer (June–August), stop by Hope Ranch Lavender or Hood River Lavender Farms. Vast lavender fields with Mt. Hood in the background—perfect for photos 📸. Packer Orchards & Bakery: Grab homemade jams, honey, and desserts to take home. Their fruit pies are well-known 🥧. In the evening, you can drive to Mount Hood to see the snowy mountain the next day, then head to Cannon Beach in the afternoon for a 3-day trip. Or stay overnight in Hood River to explore the town, or return to Portland 🏙️. #Portland #PortlandTravel #Oregon #OregonTravel #Waterfall #USAHiking #USATravel #SnowyMountain
