Ghibli Park Second Visit
As a Hayao Miyazaki fan, I visited Ghibli Park for the second time❤️ I'm sure I'll be back for a third visit or more every few years. It's just too much fun, great for photos, and shopping! Spent nearly 70,000 YEN on souvenirs😆 🚇 Transportation: From Nagoya Station, take the subway to Fujigaoka Station, transfer to the Linimo to Earth Memorial Park Station. Get off and walk straight for three minutes to the elevator, and you're in the park✨. The entire Ghibli Park is divided into five major areas. It's hard to cover everything in one day. You can prioritize certain areas based on your favorite movies. For first-time visitors, it's a must to buy Premium tickets, otherwise, there's no need to visit other areas! Here's a reference on the worthiness of each area: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Big Warehouse (half a day) ⭐️⭐️ Valley of the Witches (2-3 hours) ⭐️ Spirited Away Village (15 minutes) ⭐️ Totoro's Forest (30 minutes) ⭐️ Hill of Youth (30 minutes) 📍 Big Warehouse: A must-visit! The largest souvenir shop is here too! The time on the ticket is for entering the Big Warehouse, limited to entry within an hour. It's divided into two floors; the lower level is a must for the famous scene (the most popular spot with a 60-minute queue...), many people miss the real Big Warehouse, which is right next to the famous scene! Must-see movies~There's also a special exhibition area with food models that are super cute. 📍 Valley of the Witches The second area! Also the highlight of this visit: includes Howl's Castle😍, Kiki's house (so beautiful), and Sophie's house (English dark style). The 13 Witches shop is also great for shopping! Yun Yun seemed to be sold out here by the time I arrived😭. ⭐️ Totoro's Forest Has Mei's house and Totoro on the small hill. Since it's a bit far from other areas, if you're not particularly fond of Totoro, you can skip it. ⭐️ Spirited Away Village A rip-off attraction! Only has a DIY Gohei mochi shop and two sculptures, very disappointing! There are so many scenes from Princess Mononoke that could have been recreated! ⭐️ Hill of Youth If you're not a fan of WOH / Cat's Repayment, you can skip it! The Earth House is nice, and there's a reproduction of the cat's house, but there's not much to photograph... 🚗 Transportation within the park Except for Totoro's Forest, which is a bit far, the rest can be reached on foot. For Totoro's Forest, you can take a free bus or the Totoro bus from the Spirited Away Village. The Totoro bus is 1000 yen one way. It's like Mei traversing the forest, so comfortable I took it twice🤣. 🍔 Food Had the Continental Cross twice, didn't get to try the PIZZA last time, and the verdict is it's not good😂. Next time, I'll try the Flying Oven! There's also milk + cake in the Big Warehouse~The cake is quite good. 👀 ❗️Each ticket can only be used to enter the park once. We went to the Big Warehouse and Valley of the Witches first, then ran around with a bunch of souvenirs🥲. ❗️Plan your meal times! Popular items will sell out! ❗️Premium areas have many no-photo zones🈲. It's said there will be new areas, probably with a flying theme! Laputa, Castle in the Sky, Porco Rosso, and Kaze Tachinu have yet to appear. #NationalDayWorthwhileGuide #GhibliPark #JapanTravelTips #Ghibli #NagoyaTravel
