Goat Island Clearyak Transparent Boat Experience π
Goat Island β a snorkeling paradise with emerald-green, jelly-like glassy seas! Itβs just a 1-hour drive north of Auckland; simply navigate to Goat Island Lookout Car Park β there are plenty of parking spots, so no stress about finding a space π. We booked our transparent boat online in advance. As soon as we reached the beach, staff greeted us warmly β just show them your booking confirmation, and theyβll guide you to the boat. They gave a quick, clear briefing: how to paddle, where the water is shallow/deep, and how to handle waves. Super friendly crew! We didnβt have phone waterproof cases, and they lent us some for free β such a nice touch π. A 30-minute experience is more than enough (trust me, itβs just the right length to soak in the views!). You can also book on-site, but on sunny weekends, spots are usually fully booked β advance booking is a must! Lots of people come here to snorkel too, mostly with their own gear. We got totally tempted watching them β next time, weβll bring our own snorkel gear to join in! This time, we just hopped in the water for a quick swim to feel the sea πβοΈ. On the way back, we stopped by Tawharanui Regional Park to feel the waves at Anchor Bay π, then popped by Jones Bay β a tiny beach covered in smooth pebbles with crystal-clear seawater. The water was cool and refreshing, perfect for a post-boat dip! #Snorkeling #GlassySea #AucklandDayTrips #NewZealand #TransparentBoatAdventure #CoastalFun β¨
