Gold Coast 4-Day 3-Night Detailed Travel Guide ⛱️ Transportation ✈️ I relied entirely on buses 🚌 and trams 🚃. It’s recommended to buy a transit card directly at WHSmith in the airport upon arrival. For short trips limited to Gold Coast, the "Go Explore" pass is perfect—only 1.5 AUD per person per day. Gold Coast Airport is small, and it takes about 1 hour to reach the city center via public transport (bus 🚌 → tram 🚃). Accommodation 🛏️ Meriton Surfers Paradise (book via the official website for free cancellation; you can also request a high floor in advance. Note: 1-bedroom units go up to the 31st floor, with only "coast view"—half city, half ocean). Itinerary 📍 Day 1 We arrived just in time for the Pacific Airshow, which doubled hotel prices in the city 🛫. Since we got in late, we stayed near the airport at Rydges Gold Coast Airport, an EVT hotel. Day 2 Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary—book tickets in advance via (Ctrip) or (Fliggy). It’s a 20-minute bus ride from the airport. The sanctuary isn’t huge, but you can easily spend 2-3 hours there, with scheduled shows featuring koalas 🐨 and kangaroos 🦘. In the afternoon, we headed to the city center just as the airshow ✈️ wrapped up. We relaxed on the beach 🏖️ and wandered around downtown 🚶. Day 3 Sunrise 🌅 (visible right from the beach near the hotel) + Jet Boat ride (book in advance via Ctrip or the official website—search "Jet Boat" on Google Maps). The 55-minute ride costs around 79 AUD/370 RMB—super fun! Afternoon: Pacific Fair shopping 🛍️ + Burleigh Heads National Park for sunset 🌄 (you’ll need to walk a bit after getting off the bus; aim to arrive before sunset). Day 4 Citywalk + flight back 📍 Other recommended spots: SkyPoint Observation Deck (Q1 Building), the three major theme parks. 🍽️ Food Recommendations Ribs: Hurricane‘s Grill & Bar (downtown) Brunch: O Bagel 🥯 (incredibly delicious 😋); ELK Espresso (a favorite of Jay Chou) – both near Pacific Fair. Castaway Coffee Bar (right below the hotel) Italian: Alfresco (a downtown /internet-famous spot – personally, I think Western food tastes similar everywhere 😅) Seaside dining: Rock Shore (Burleigh Heads – didn’t get to eat there, but the vibe looked amazing) Bubble tea & ice cream: Tea Team 🥤 (made a special trip – had it two days in a row, near Chinatown); Royal Copenhagen 🍦 (downtown) #AustraliaTravel #GoldCoast #GoldCoastFood #BurleighHeadsBeach #Sydney #GoldCoastAttractions #CurrumbinWildlifeSanctuary #JetBoat
