Pacific Airshow — Attraction in Gold Coast City

What a fantastic day out. You couldn’t showcase a better winters day to the world. Beautiful beach with great aerial entertainment. Great one, Gold Coast.

Very well organised. We got there early to line up for general admin, Gate B. Security checked tickets, issue entry stamp and checked bags while waiting. Which made it a very quick process when the gates opened and heading straight to the beach.

Any location on the beach had excellent viewing. We went near the witches hats near the water edge. Great to see the parachutes arriving and so many demonstrations at that point.

Recommend to take your food, chairs, plenty of drinks. Hats/umbrellas for personal shade. Wheelie carts were very popular carrying everything in. Lots of food carts to purchase from, just hard to walk through the crowds back and forth. Suncream, light jacket for arrival and later afternoon with cool wind. Camera with spare batteries. Was at the air show on the Friday. Sadly it was well over rated and much of a disappointment. The commentary was like those reality shows. Trying to make the ordinary sensational. Would of been better if he could of shut up and turned the balsting music down so we could at least hear the planes. The FA18 was to only aircraft louder than the Sound System. They had a few different planes but mostly they all did the same thing. I must admit when I heard it was not at an airport I did not expect much. I attended the Pacific Airshow in Surfers Paradise with high hopes for an exhilarating experience. However, I must admit my disappointment as all three days of the show featured the same performances. The absence of variety left me wanting more. While the FA-18 was impressive, I had anticipated the inclusion of advanced jets like the F-35 or the F-22 Raptor, and perhaps even some thrilling sonic booms.
