Gold Coast Food

🇩đŸ‡ș Gold Coast | Come to the Southern Hemisphere to See the Sea Gold Coast isn’t a city for rushing from one landmark to another. Its most distinctive feature is the 40-plus-kilometer coastline that blends seamlessly with urban architecture. So, the most important thing here is to relax and soak up the sunshine and sea. 🚗 Transportation How to get to Gold Coast? There are two main ways to reach Gold Coast: take a train from Brisbane, or fly directly to Gold Coast Airport. We flew from Sydney to Gold Coast, and a pleasant surprise was getting a bird’s-eye view of the entire Gold Coast coastline from the plane. Local transportation in Gold Coast Gold Coast’s public transport mainly includes trams and buses. Unlike Sydney, you can’t pay with a Visa card here—you’ll need to get a “Go Explore” transit card at the airport. 🏠 Accommodation: Meriton Suites Surfers Paradise This Meriton has great value! The suites come with a living room and kitchen, and most rooms are ocean-view 🏝. Waking up to a sea view every day is amazing. Plus, the location in Surfers Paradise is perfect—step out the door and you’re on the beach. It’s midway between the airport and major theme parks, super convenient. Itinerary DAY 1: Sydney → Gold Coast - Q1 Observation Deck The observation deck in Q1 Building is definitely a must-visit in Gold Coast. The views are incredible—you can easily snap magazine-worthy photos. DAY 2: 🏖 Burleigh Beach - Sea World 🎱 Gold Coast has several theme parks. To be honest, they’re not as grand as large parks in China, and half a day per park is enough. But they excel in interactivity and smaller crowds, so the experience is still great. DAY 3: Surfers Paradise 🏖 - Airport đŸœ Food Recommendations 📍 COCO HUT This Thai restaurant is right across from Q1 Building. It’s supposedly famous for seafood hotpot, but I highly recommend their fried rice. 📍 Rick Shores This is one of Gold Coast’s top (internet-famous) restaurants. The natural sea view of Burleigh Beach is framed by white windows like a painting. Before the food even arrives, you’ll be dazzled by the scenery 😍. However, the food is overshadowed by the views—though a nice touch is that many dishes incorporate Chinese elements. Another restaurant, The Tropic, is upstairs. It’s recommended to book both in advance ⏰. 📍 The Schnitz We planned to grab a quick breakfast at the airport but stumbled upon this famous Australian schnitzel chain 😆. Besides the fried chicken, their fries are incredibly good—so delicious it’s almost surprising! Is that an overstatement for fries? đŸ€Ł #Australia #AustralianTravel #GoldCoast #GoldCoastTravel #GoldCoastFood
