Burleigh Beach — Attraction in Queensland

A MUST SEE when you are on the Gold Coast. This place is BREATHTAKING! Beautiful beach to lay on and soak up the beautiful Queensland sun, or simply walk, ride, skateboard or run along the very well maintained paths that follow the shoreline.

The parks that surround the beach are beautifully maintained. Lots of water points along the shoreline. The beach is very accessible from many places along the Esplanade.

Heaps of parking .... a word of advise though....there are free parking areas AND there are parking spaces that require payment. Parking fines are in excess of $70 if you don't pay. BE AWARE of where you park.

This is my favourite beach for taking visitors to the Gold Coast. Walk to the top of the hill at John Laws Park (locals call it Burleigh Point) and catch the most amazing views of the ocean, surfers, and a distant surfers Paradise cityscape. The sunsets and sunrises here are phenomenal. Take a chair, blanket, and your family or friends and enjoy the day. If your in the mood to walk, you can saunter along the beach pathway toward the national park trails, or if you go north it will take you past kids playgrounds, exercise equipment, BBQ areas to North Burleigh Hill with its fantastic lookout.
