Good Eats in Dallas
📕Restaurant Name: Uchiko Plano This is a restaurant where the desserts outshine the main dishes, and the appetizers are better than the nigiri. The mushroom rice is like a clay pot rice, and it's very flavorful. There's no need to add extra wagyu beef, as the dish is already quite oily. By the end, there's a pool of oil at the bottom of the pot, making it a bit greasy. The dessert, Milk & Cereal, is the MVP of the entire menu. I would definitely go back just for this dish—highly recommended! The oysters were quite small, and when you tasted them, you could only detect the flavors of the fruit and pickles. The tartare crisp was delicious 😋 and worth ordering. 🏞️Among the sushi, my favorites were the sweet shrimp, amberjack, and eggplant (the eggplant sushi was surprisingly delicious). The trout was a major disappointment. The texture of the meat was strange and not to my taste. The sea urchin sushi had too many fish roe, which overpowered the dish. The average cost per person was around $130. It's still worth a visit. #Dallas #DallasFood #InternationalStudentEats
