Great Atmosphere. Lots of Vegetarian Options. Food okay.
🍷 Bacari Date Night – Great Vibes, Food Has Potential 🍷 We finally made it to Bacari for date night, and it did not disappoint in the atmosphere department! The outdoor patio was cozy and well-protected from the bustling Ventura Blvd, while the indoor seating felt intimate and inviting. Even on a Thursday, it was packed—glad we made a reservation! The service was warm and attentive—our server even brought my wife a tasting of three Cabernets so she could choose her favorite. A classy touch! 🍇 🍸 Drinks: I tried the “Overpaid & Underworked” cocktail – gorgeous presentation with egg white foam and dried blueberries. It went down smoothly… maybe a little too smooth. Though bourbon was listed first, its presence was shy. Tasty, but more fruity than bold. 🌱 Vegetarian-Friendly – But Execution Varied: ♻️ Shawarma Tacos (Mushroom Substitute) – Okay, but dominated by cabbage and beet slaw. Mushrooms and tahini were MIA. ♻️ Grilled Asparagus – A bit overcooked and messy-looking, but saved by romesco sauce and parmesan. ♻️ Rainbow Beets – Beautiful plating, but the grey salt overpowered the delicate beets and whipped chèvre. ✅ Vegetarian-friendly menu with plenty of options ✅ Vibrant atmosphere – perfect for dates or groups ✅ Attentive and kind service 🤔 Room to grow in flavor balance and execution #BacariLA #DateNight #VegetarianEats #CocktailCulture #LAFoodScene
