📍 Great Sand Dunes National Park 🏜️

Rating: 4/63 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Drove over 4 hours from Denver just to see this place — and wow, it was absolutely worth it! 😍 The first glimpse from a distance totally took my breath away. Unlike Indiana Dunes or other smaller desert dunes I’ve seen, this one is massive — like a mountain of sand! 🏔️ I tried climbing it and made it about 2/5 of the way up after 2 hours… then my legs gave up 😅 Definitely a workout and a half! 💀 Fun fact: While Indiana Dunes were formed by glacial melting millions of years ago, the Great Sand Dunes were shaped by mountain erosion, river flows, and seasonal winds working together over time. 🌬️💧 The dunes change color throughout the day as the light shifts (these photos are unedited — that’s the real magic! 🎨).
