Great Smoky Mountains Road Trip – Day 4: Chattanooga 🚗💨
On our fourth day, we originally planned to drive back home after three nights in Pigeon Forge. But we realized we’d already explored most of the area, so we decided to head back a day early! Instead of taking the usual route through Atlanta, we detoured via Knoxville and hopped on the highway to Chattanooga—a city friends had recommended. Spontaneous road trip upgrade! 😄 Chattanooga has three main attractions: Incline Railway 🚞 Ruby Falls 💧 Rock City Garden 🪨 With limited time, we skipped Ruby Falls (though if you have time, all three are worth it—they’re the “Big Three” of Chattanooga!). 🚂 Incline Railway: “You’ll regret not riding it…but might regret riding it too.” 😅 It’s a unique experience, but not super exciting. Still, it’s a landmark! 🌿 Rock City Garden: This was a surprise highlight! Very photogenic 📸, family-friendly, and totally worth the visit. Highly recommend! After sightseeing, we grabbed lunch at Han Mi, a Korean restaurant 🍚…but it was pretty underwhelming. We originally craved black bean noodles (jajangmyeon), but they weren’t on the summer menu. We tried: Bibimbap 🥢 (just okay) Spicy rice cakes with fish cakes 🌶️ (good but fiery!) Cold noodle salad 🍜 (meh) Stone pot tofu rice 🍲 (hard to describe…not great) Not the foodie win we hoped for after missing out on Atlanta’s food scene! 😂 #Chattanooga 📍#InclineRailway 🚞#RockCityGarden 🌿#RubyFalls 💦#Atlanta 🍑#SmokyMountainsTrip 🏔️#RoadTripVibes 🛣️#KoreanFood #TravelBlunders 😅
