Great Spots for Solo Dining in Boston
Visited the viral Phinista Cafe in Porter Square ☕ The cafe doesn’t have too many seats — by the afternoon, it was pretty much full! It’s just a block away from another popular spot, Ume Ga Arukara udon 🍜, making it a perfect place to stop by for a drink or dessert after a meal. Ube Matcha Latte 🍵 The ube puree has a noticeable fibrous texture — if you prefer smoother drinks, you might want to skip this one. That said, it’s absolutely Instagram-worthy! Switching to alternative milk costs an extra $0.75. The drink is lightly sweet, just the natural sweetness from ube combined with matcha — not too bitter, around 30% sugar level like bubble tea. Mon Amour 🥞 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Beautiful and delicious 😍 The crepe is made fresh to order, with edges that are slightly crisp but not hard. Compared to the thin layers in a mille crepe cake, this one is thicker and sturdier — when you cut into it, the fillings don’t spill out everywhere, so you can eat gracefully (well, sort of 😉). The Nutella, custard, and berries are perfectly balanced — no overwhelming chocolate blobs! With walnuts adding crunch, it’s seriously addictive 🥞💫 The desserts in the display fridge also look amazing — can’t wait to come back and try their coffee and other snacks next time! #BostonLife #GlobalFoodies #BostonCafeHopping #BostonEats #BostonCoffeeShops
