🌹 Greenville | A Romantic Night Out with My Flowers 💐
📍 Trattoria Giorgio 121 S Main St, Greenville, SC 29601 💰 Average: ~$75 per person I’d been wanting to try this place forever—always fully booked or closed when I tried to walk in. This time, I made a reservation 20 days in advance… and finally got in. But honestly? The hype didn’t quite live up to reality. We started with a little hiccup: the host couldn’t find my reservation at first 😅… until I showed my call log. Almost didn’t get a table—again! 🍞 Bread Service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Classic olive oil & balsamic—so good! 🥓 Charcuterie Board 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫 Three types of ham, around 6 slices each. Delicious and only $18! Would’ve been even better with some cheese or dried fruit. 🦪 Clams in Tomato Sauce 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely the star! The broth was incredibly rich and flavorful. Every clam was plump and fresh. We finished it in seconds! 🥟 Lobster Ravioli 🌟🌟🌟💫 Filled with frozen lobster bits—a bit fishy and heavy. Both the filling and sauce were overly salty. 🥩 Ribeye Steak 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Pretty standard—something my partner could make at home. Also a bit oversalted. 🍤 Curry Shrimp 🌟🌟🌟💫 Actually misordered this (meant to get shrimp pasta 😬). The shrimp were big and fresh, but the curry sauce was just okay and too salty. 🍰 Tiramisu 🌟🌟🌟 Surprisingly underwhelming for an Italian spot. No strong coffee flavor, dense cake, over-whipped cream… not my thing. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I left a little disappointed. Service was just okay—not what you’d expect from a finer dining place. Ingredients were fresh and classic Italian dishes were decent, but everything was too salty. I drank so much water I got full! Still, it was a beautiful night with beautiful company. At the end of the day, it’s not just about the food—it’s about who you share it with. 💖 #Qixi #ChineseValentinesDay #DateNight #ItalianFood #GreenvilleSC #FoodReview #RestaurantDiary #Foodie #NotWhatIExpected #ButStillSpecial #TrattoriaGiorgio
