Half‑Day in Cincinnati|Exploring Historic Findlay Market 🛒

With a layover in Cincinnati and a few free hours, our family of food lovers skipped the museum and headed straight for Findlay Market — ranked among the world’s top 10 markets by Newsweek! Not sure if it was because of a football game or just off‑peak hours, but the market was quieter than expected. Still, the festive decor and vibe were delightful — even roosters sported fake beards to look like Santas! 🐔🎅 The food here has strong Southern flair — pig trotters, chicken feet… clearly popular with locals. Built in 1852 and surrounded by colorful Italian‑style buildings (very Instagram‑ready 🏛️📸), the area is dotted with cafes and diverse eateries. We ended up at a Jamaican spot called Flavors of the Isle: Jerk Rib Tips — smoked, bone‑in ribs with slightly spicy BBQ sauce, absolutely delicious. Brown Stew Chicken — a huge, meat‑filled bowl (way too much for one person 😂). Catfish — crispy, no muddy taste, served with freshly made dipping sauce that beats Seattle soul food by a mile! A tasty, cultural bite of Cincinnati in just a few hours — totally worth the stop! #Cincinnati #FindlayMarket #LocalEats #TravelUSA #FoodieAdventure #LayoverEats 🇺🇸🍽️✨
