Half - Day Takayama Tour (2)π
Personal Take on Takayama π π’π If you're not into ancient architecture, you can skip entering Takayama Jinya. The old streets and morning markets in Takayama are like a smaller version of Nanluoguxiang, a commercial street, but it's quite small and won't take long to explore. π The Higashiyama Promenade is 5.5 km long, with cemeteries on one side and many temples on the other, eventually leading to the castle ruins park. If temples aren't your thing, you can definitely skip this route. π² π’πThe entire city has its attractions concentrated within a 2 - km radius of Takayama Station. The farthest spots, aside from the Higashiyama Promenade, might be the Hie Shrine. If you're not aiming to replicate the scenes from "Your Name" and have already visited many shrines, you can give it a miss. π π’π So, arriving in Takayama at noon on the first day, heading to Shirakawa - go in the afternoon, and exploring the city center the next morning should be enough before you catch your ride to the next destination. Tonight, I just happened to catch the Takayama City Residents' Fireworks Festival and joined the fun. π U1S1, that Hida beef sushi π£ is genuinely delicious π. π’π Two pieces for 900 yen, and three different flavors for 1300 yen. Don't miss it if you go early without the queue. #Takayama #TakayamaTravel #Japan πΏ
