Japan's Takayama Important National Historical Site β Takayama Jinya Trace π π’π Spring is Coming to the Mountains πΈ Takayama Festival and Takayama Jinya are two of the most important cultural heritages in Takayama, Japan. πΊ 1οΈβ£ Takayama Festival π Held twice a year: π’π Spring Festival: Yama no Kami Festival, April 14thβ15th Autumn Festival: Hachiman Festival, October 9thβ10th If you're planning a trip to Japan during these times, be sure to schedule a visit! πΎ 2οΈβ£ Takayama Jinya π° π’π Originally a residence of the Kanamori clan, the lords of Takayama Castle, built in 1615. Later, when Takayama became a direct administration area of the Tokugawa Shogunate, it was used as an office for the local officials (daikan) and district commissioners (gunji), responsible for the administrative affairs of the Hida region. It is the only surviving administrative office from the shogunate period in Japan. πΏ Of the existing buildings, only the granary dates back to the original construction. π’π The other structures were rebuilt in the original style between 1816 and 1841, and they have a history of over 400 years. πΎ Visitors are required to take off their shoes when entering.
