I'm back with another food adventure!!! 😆 Today was rough at work, so my colleagues and I decided to turn our frustration into a feast at my all-time favorite spot—Mic Mac Bar & Grill! Located in Dartmouth, this place is a Halifax institution—part restaurant, part bar, with an extensive drink selection. 🍻 It’s been around for over 50 years, and the constant crowds (yes, even in our small city!) speak volumes about its flavor and affordability. Pro tip: Always book ahead—walk-ins often face long waits! ⏳ 🍽️ MUST-ORDER DISHES 1. Calamari ($11.50) 🦑 My ultimate favorite! For just $11.50, you get a mountain of crispy, tender squid rings with two incredible dips: Thai sweet chili sauce and sour cream. 🌶️🥛 Always get the sauce on the side—you’ll enjoy the plain salted version, the saucy version, and a mix of both. Three experiences in one! 💯 2. Battered Chicken Wings (1 lb/$10.50) 🍗 These wings are golden, crispy perfection! 🏆 The batter is light yet crunchy, and while they’re not as heavily seasoned as Chinese-style wings, the honey garlic and sweet chili sauces more than make up for it. At $10.50 for a pound, it’s a steal! 3. Steak (Prices vary by cut) 🥩 We ordered three different cuts to share! All their beef is Canadian AAA-grade, so you can’t go wrong. Rib Steak: My personal pick! Bone-in, juicy, and richly marbled—because "no fat, no flavor" is my life motto. 😋 Sirloin & Tenderloin: Leaner options for my health-conscious colleagues. The tenderloin is softer but pricier. All steaks come with sides (mashed potatoes/fries), and you can even add lobster (but we’ve had enough lobster this season 🦞). Most steak meals run $35-$40, and portions are huge—leftovers guaranteed! 💰 The Damage After splitting the bill, we each paid $68 (tax & tip included).
